We offer
We offer an international service, selling items from the UK to the world. We are open from Monday to Friday 9.00 am to 5.00 pm. Please come to the saleroom at any time for a free verbal valuation. If you would like a free home visit please call us on 01935 812277 and Sue Whitney will be happy to make an appointment for you. We have valuation days on every Tuesday. We hold regular monthly auctions, all of general antiques plus a specialist section - please check our sale dates information for further help. We offer a postal service if required. If you need a probate valuation please call us for an appointment. We provide a full probate valuation service, and are happy to provide rates on enquiry. If you are dealing with an estate and need contents cleared so that a property can be marketed by your agents we can arrange this service for you. We have good relations with all local solicitors and estate agents, and can advise you which items we would be able to sell for you, and can clear the residual items, leaving the house clean for prospective buyers. We provide a collection and delivery service at a cost of £35.00 per hour plus VAT.
Prior to an auction we are happy to send email images and condition reports of lots that are of interest to the client. We always try and send these as promptly as possible, but please note that the later we get requests, the more difficult it is to offer an efficient service, although we will do our very best. We do not guarantee that we will reply to emails, especially when received on the day of the sale. Please contact us early if our response is important to your decision. Fundraising Events, Talks, Sponsorship & Charity Events Every year we are asked to do all of the above, and usually more! They range from auctions of promises and chattels, quiz nights, antiques roadshow style discovery days, talks and lectures. Charities and other worthy causes supported include: Dorset Cancer Care The Sherborne Abbey Festival The Sherborne Abbey Restoration Fund The Lions (Sherborne and Yeovil districts) Rotary International The Sherborne Castle Country Fair Numerous WI groups, other clubs, schools, village halls and associations Charterhouse sponsors a Barnardos child
